AL-KO International Pty Ltd manufactures, markets and distributes a comprehensive range of products for the trailer, caravan and RV markets in Australia and New Zealand. For over fifty years, AL-KO has been dedicated to product innovations and quality to deliver the world’s safest trailers, caravans and motorhomes.

Throughout 2021-22, AL-KO Australia engaged Leadership Management Australia (LMA) to plan and implement a significant improvement program featuring two development courses across AL-KO’s two main Victorian sites – Campbellfield and Dandenong South.

A total of 25 team leaders, supervisors and department heads completed LMA’s Success Strategies for Team Leaders and Supervisors (SSTLS) course. Running concurrently, a total of 51 team leaders, supervisors, operators and others completed LMA’s Operational Excellence courses. Both courses provided Nationally Recognised Training qualifications. Importantly, delivery of both courses was customised and tailored to suit AL-KO’s operational conditions, including scheduling workshops to align with production and delivery requirements. Together they have brought about profound culture change, leadership growth and performance and productivity improvements.

As the key focus for all LMA courses is sustaining efforts, processes and results to deliver ongoing benefit, it’s great to hear from Rachelle that the Return on Investment from these courses continues to be enjoyed by AL-KO. So much so, that the Dandenong South site is preparing to implement the same Operational Excellence courses to multiply the benefits through this team and site – a great sign for the future relationship between AL-KO.
