Lauren Walsh – Workplace Leadership Essentials

Key learnings for me were centered around the concept of high payoff activities as I gained a deeper understanding of their impact on both my role and the business.

My Employer enrolled me into LMAs Workplace Leadership Essentials course with two primary objectives. Enhance my managerial skills and allow me to acquire skills and strategies to maximize the performance and productivity of my new role.

From a development perspective, I structured course goals around reducing uncertainty in managerial decision making. Acquiring proficiency and confidence in delegation of tasks to team members and cultivate effective team relationships to increase engagement and output.

Key learnings for me were centered around the concept of high payoff activities as I gained a deeper understanding of their impact on both my role and the business. Thus, motivating me to make significant adjustments in my time utilisation and those around me by applying new ideas as action steps for each of my goals.

LMA’s emphasis on this concept of practical application allowed me to approach each goal with a positive mindset and ultimately achieved each of the goals I set. Additionally, I gathered substantial benefits from all the modular content and interactive workshops with my fellow participants.

Having now completed the LMA course, I have noticed a shift in my attitude towards my staff and leadership responsibilities. I am more confident in supporting my team’s growth and contributing positively to the bottom line of the business, free from any doubt about my abilities and capability to lead others moving forward.
