Alexis Casperson – Challenge of Leadership

I loved connecting with my fellow participants each fortnight to share ideas and see how everyone was tracking their improvements and achievements.

My employer enrolled me onto LMA’s Challenge of Leadership course as they could see the benefits I would gain from completing this course given their ongoing relationship with LMA for over a decade. An opportunity to become a stronger Supervisor, increase team performance and assist with my career progression.

My LMA Client Support (Julian) in conjunction with my Manager/Mentor supported me to structure some specific professional development goals around maximizing the effectiveness and quality of our Customer Support Team.

Throughout the journey my greatest learning would have to be The Power of Delegation. Being a Supervisor can have a lot of expectation to have urgent and important tasks done now, regardless of other commitments. Learning to effectively delegate has freed up my time dramatically to focus on these imperative tasks and empowered my team to become more productive as a result.

I really enjoyed LMAs learning process which incorporates spaced repetition, interactive and experiential learning followed by real life application. Not only have I learnt some great new concepts, but I am also putting them into practice and seeing real results.

I loved connecting with my fellow participants each fortnight to share ideas and see how everyone was tracking their improvements and achievements.

‘It was good to see Alexis take on the challenge even though she had lots going on at work and in her personal life. I feel she has taken away a lot from the course and has the tools to help her in future endeavors.’ Amanda Boorer (Manager/Mentor)
