Brett Pelham- Challenge of Leadership

Participating in LMA’s The Challenge of Leadership course has been a valuable opportunity to enhance my skills in effectively managing my team.

Throughout the course, I focused on applying the new skills I learned directly to my workplace. Networking with other participants was particularly inspiring, and I have incorporated some of their experiences and ideas into my own management strategies.

Before attending the course, I rarely delegated tasks. The course provided me with both the tools and the rationale for delegation, emphasizing its importance in achieving common goals. I also learned that open and transparent communication is crucial for a successful team environment. This has helped set clear goals and empower my team towards success.

We also explored the concept of High Payoff Activities and their significance in business. Upon reviewing my daily activities, I realized I was spending too much time on smaller tasks instead of focusing on activities that could drive sales and growth. The course has helped me shift my focus to more impactful activities.
