Jake Balnave – Challenge of Leaderhsip
The course was presented in an easy to digest format, the interactive workshops were well structured to create a safe and encouraging learning environment.
Commencing LMA’s Challenge of Leadership course at the same time as accepting a Leadership role within my organisation was perfect timing. Having not managed staff directly before, this was a great opportunity to support my professional development and set me up for success within the new role.
The course was presented in an easy to digest format, the interactive workshops were well structured to create a safe and encouraging learning environment. The ability to listen to the modular content made it easy to find the time for preparation around my busy work/home schedule.
I found structuring pre-determined win/win goals and the workplace project really allowed me to put the learnings into action and drive change with my role, team, and the organisation. Outcomes from achieving my goals included a deeper sense of connection, enjoyment, and positive work life balance. Simplified processes, improved working relationships and a greater level of respect and appreciation from my peers. I have also been able to calculate an annual return of investment of over two hundred thousand dollars.
I have also noticed an attitudinal shift within myself around focus on what matters most, working on proactive projects and a deeper consideration around problem solving. I am also seeking and valuing feedback, input and ideas from others on a more regular basis.
This course has opened my eyes to things that I had maybe considered but never thought about in great depth. I can now contribute positively to my team and organisation through the learnings, tools and theories presented throughout the learning process. I look forward to implementing them further as I continue to progress my leadership journey.
If you are interested in developing the tools to become more successful within a leadership position, then this is the course for you.
