Jaye Williams – Success Strategies for Team Leaders and Supervisors
The two biggest behavioural changes I have noticed in myself since completing the course are my improved time management and ability to multitask/work under pressure.
I commenced LMA’s Success Strategies for Team Leaders & Supervisors program shortly after being promoted into a Works Coordinator/Supervisor role. My mentor believed that the course would have valuable tools and learning that would greatly assist a successful transition into Management.
The most enjoyable part of this learning journey was seeing my personal and professional improvements as I progressed through the course. This visibility was created through establishing pre-determined developmental goals at the commencement of the program to align the learning with what I wanted to achieve. Key areas of development for me included conflict resolution, time management, problem-solving, and how to work effectively under pressure.
Having only experienced working on the tools previously, becoming more business-minded was also a goal I was hoping to achieve, including a better understanding of the value of time and money.
The two biggest behavioural changes I have noticed in myself since completing the course are my improved time management and ability to multitask/work under pressure. Not only has this increased my confidence as a supervisor but it has also delivered tangible bottom-line improvement for my employer.
I would strongly recommend this LMA course to others. It covers so many tools, concepts, and ideas that were truly valuable in my transition from the tools to management. I also think the fact the course requires a mentor is very powerful. It kept me in touch with my manager about the learning and how I can best apply it back into our company.
