Jessie Quinn – Challenge of Leadership
LMA’s Challenge of Leadership Course was extremely beneficial for me and has taught me so much more than I thought it would.
I have found the information relevant, explained in a way that was easy to understand and easy to relate to my work through structuring my own pre-determined goals and objectives.
My primary objectives/outcomes aligned with wanting to become a better manager, especially when dealing with challenging and confrontational conversations, as this is something I have always struggled with. I wanted to become a more confident leader, someone who my team could approach at any time, and provide the answers and support they were seeking.
Pulling apart the learning content and workshopping ideas to apply these principles back into the workplace created a very interactive and experiential learning environment. Two of the biggest takeaways for me included the ‘Team Skills Audit’ and ’10 Tips for Handling Problems involving People’.
Throughout the learning journey I achieved so much more than I thought I would. My workplace project allowed me to up-skill my team who are now more empowered, engaged, happier and productive. There is a real sense of purpose behind what they are doing on a day to day and long-term basis. This has allowed me to achieve a better work/life balance and now work my actual hours. I am happier and more confident as a leader.
I would 100% recommend this course. It has given me the skills I was looking for to be a better manager and I can’t recommend this enough to anyone looking to do the same.
