Mark Nesbitt – Challenge of Leadership

I chose to enroll into LMA’s Challenge of Leadership course as I felt I needed some training in my role as project manager

Having moved into the project manager role during lockdown, going into 2023 I put my hand up for development. My manager suggested LMA given his experience completing the same program and utilizing it for other team members previously.

My main development goal centered around improving my time management and efficiency as I wanted to reduce stress that was associated with working weekends, evenings and last-minute frantic tasks.

I achieved the desired results by applying several of the key learnings I took away from the LMA content and interactive workshops. Some of which included high payoff activities, time blocking and the high performance wheel to name a few.

For me, the ability to practically apply the learning was the most enjoyable part of the experience. It has enabled me to delegate effectively and empower people around me. Understand and utilise emotional intelligence as a leader and drive significant improvement in my performance and productivity which has generated a significant return on investment for both my employer and me.

Would I recommend this course to others?

Yes, I would. Developing skills in managing both myself and my team has been invaluable to my personal and professional success.
