Natasha Micallef – Workplace Leadership Essentials
I have also adopted a more above the line attitude which allows me to analyze situations from a positive perspective and think outside the box around solutions and continuous improvement.
The owners of the company I work for encouraged me to enroll into LMA’s Workplace Leadership Essentials course to expand my understanding and learning in the areas of leadership and management. Given my desire to develop more confidence and a deeper understanding of how to improve my Teams performance and productivity, I eagerly accepted.
LMA encouraged to me not only learn new ideas but to practically apply them back towards pre-determined objectives. For me, I focused on key concepts including the one three one rule to effectively solve problems, discussion planner to minimize interruptions and effective communication to improve team engagement, empowerment and output. I have also adopted a more above the line attitude which allows me to analyze situations from a positive perspective and think outside the box around solutions and continuous improvement. These skills have also provided me with the confidence to manage difficult situations and deal when conflicts arise.
The process of setting clear goals and outcomes for my team has seen a marked improvement in their efficiency, time management and results. Motivating me to continue to work on structuring both personal and professional development goals moving forward.
The course is extremely relevant regardless of the industry you come from. I found that learning and discussing topics in an interactive group environment is very beneficial and it allowed me to draw from other participants ideas and experiences.
