William Groves – Challenge of Leadership
As a new Assistant Manager, I was excited to complete LMA’s Challenge of Leadership course as a great tool to enhance my skills, personal performance, and team productivity.
At course commencement I structured several win-win agreement goals which would assist me achieve these outcomes. My goals included increasing my focus on high payoff activities, identifying low payoff activities to delegate, and upskilling/empowering my team to take on additional responsibility.
I really enjoyed the combination of spaced repetition, multi-sensory impact, interactive workshops, and practical application with LMA’s development process. This allowed me to apply new ideas/concepts around cross training my team, minimizing risk, implementing workplace change and a structured approach to delegation.
After Graduating from my course, a have noticed significant change in the way I approach my role. I am delegating more effectively so I can focus on the critical tasks and activities. I approach problems/issues with a calm and planned approach and find myself less stressed within my role given the results I have achieved and supply of new tools I can apply on a day-to-day basis.
Sharing this learning journey and interacting with my peers from different organizations and backgrounds was a fun and beneficial experience. I would happily recommend LMA and their leadership courses to others looking to take the next step.
